This year, the festival has gone bigger. The event was held in the Singapore national stadium. The venue was bigger, there was more performances, more activities and the crowd was larger. The blue tent were the food stations, the white tents were for merchandise goods. Food StationThe event was held for two days, Saturday and Sunday. As I reached the place early, I was able to snap some pictures that were not filled with people. Game StationThis year there were more games available. There were the traditional games, human board games and digital games (there were actually more games than what my pictures showed) Last year, I spent about 2 hours in queue to play 3 games. This time I completed 2 games in less then 30 minutes. PerformanceAbove were some of the performance I watched. There were many performance, but I did not watched all. I did not stay till night to watch the Bon Odori (bon dance) Note: During the festival, I did not managed to capture all the events. There were tea ceremony demonstration and kimono show. Pokemon game playing area. Meet up with mascots, like Pikachu and Domo etc. My overall view, if I were to choose which venue do I like the most, The Japanese School Singapore or Singapore National stadium. I will prefer the original venue. Because I like the ambiance in the school. Although the venue was small, the place looked lively. In addition, I am a person who love to attend school anniversary celebration or school carnival, hence I tend to side toward the original venue. This year, although the venue was bigger, it felt empty. As you can see from the very first picture of this post, the place looked very empty without the crowd. Although the venue was spacious, there were not enough tables and chairs. I will end this post with a picture of me wearing yugata.
This is my first time wearing it in public and it feel weird. Since younger, I only participate once in racial harmony day (a cultural event practice in singapore)
